delivery man, Muhammad Firman Jamali, 30 went on a trial today for raping and
sexually assault a 16 year old girl who is now 19 and for posing to be a police
officer to the girl and her boyfriend at Woodlands
Avenue 5, Singapore three
years ago.
Before the assault happened, Firman saw the couple behaving intimately and they later quickly ran to the elevator where Firman identified himself as a police officer and asked for their identity card while threatening to tell their parents and school on their sexual behavior.
The scared couple gave their identity card and then Firman returned the boy’s card and asked him to leave.
Firman led the girl to a nearby building, threatened her and forced her to perform oral sex on him.
A passerby who will be testifying, saw the girl leaving with Firman and later saw the teenage boy and helped him to find his girlfriend they found the girl crying and sobbing at a bus interchange and asked Firman what he had done to her.
The Deputy Public Prosecutor told the court that the analysis of Firman's mobile phone showed that he had researched for rape and fellatio the next day after the assault.
The maximum punishment for rapist and those who performed sexual assault is 20 years with possible caning or fine.
